Brian Place
Brian Place

Founder

Brian Place

Brian Place is the Principal, Founder and Chief Cat Herder (CCH) of Interplay. After years of working for other firms, he knew there had to be a better way to manage IT Services for medium-sized companies. So in 2001 Brian decided to do it himself and started Interplay.

Brian enjoys working with his clients to create the right Managed IT Solutions that keep companies moving forward and take the IT management stress off a company’s plate. Service, reliability and security are the foundation of Interplay and values that Brian has instilled in each employee.

When Brian isn’t busy at work he can be found developing a new cocktail, weightlifting (to work off said cocktails), cooking or traveling. Brian and his husband live in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood along with two cats, who occasionally grace them with their presence. Brian is a ridiculously huge fan of Disney World, EPCOT and all of the ways that Walt Disney made sure everyone who walks into the “Happiest Place on Earth” has the best day ever. He knows all the secrets, best food, and drink spots at each Disney Park in the US.

Jason Lovejoy
Jason Lovejoy

Service Manager

Jason Lovejoy

Jason Lovejoy is the Service Manager here at Interplay. He moved from a level I engineer to a level II engineer (Senior Engineer) in a little over a year because he’s just that good. Jason has his BAS in Information Technology and Administrative Management from Central Washington University. He also has his AAS in Network Administration from Highline College where he met Melanie, who encouraged bringing him on board here. Prior to Interplay Jason was the IT guy for a retail company and has brought over five years of internal IT department experience with him.

Jason lives in Federal Way and grew up in South King County. He has three roommates and they live in the house his grandfather built in the 1960’s. He’s the third generation to live in the home. The most recent roommate is Mungo, Jason’s Brazilian Mastiff/German Shepherd Mix dog. Mungo is still growing, but will be 120 lb. when full grown, and he rocks a sweet jerry curl mohawk! A self proclaimed computer nerd, when Jason isn’t busy at work he’s fixing computers and playing video games.

Blake Perdue

Service Desk Technician

Blake Perdue

Blake Perdue is a Service Desk Technician here at Interplay. He answers your calls and support tickets, and he makes sure your computer and network are running smoothly. He is also enrolled in the Network Support Technician program at Olympic College in Bremerton and will complete his certification in the Summer of 2017.

Blake lives in Bremerton and has for most of his life. Before joining InterplayBlake was providing tech support for friends and family. Blake has been “obsessed” with computers since he got his first PC in the 3rd grade.

When Blake isn’t busy at work he enjoys Tabletop Gaming- feel free to ask him about his D&D campaigns! Blake is also into music production.  He creates his own orchestral music using virtual instruments. For now, it’s just for fun and a personal creative outlet.

In 2014 Blake ran his own Convention – GAMCON – the Gaming, Anime and Music convention – in Bremerton with over 600 attendees. The con was a lot of work and a great success, he’s hoping to do another GAMCON in the future!

Doug Strong
Doug Strong

Service Desk Technician

Doug Strong

Doug Strong is one of Interplay’s fantastic Service Desk Technicians. He comes to us after a 5 year stint as an IT technician at Highline College, where he also obtained an AAS in Network Administration. His favorite part of working in this industry is the opportunity to learn about and work with new and exciting technology.

Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Doug grew up in Federal Way. In his spare time he enjoys messing around with Virtual Reality and working on German cars. A die-hard Star Wars fan, he has a dog named Chewie, and a second dog named Luna. In addition to his awesome tech skills, Doug also makes a mean Mac  n’ cheese.

Sean Place
Sean Place

Operations Manager

Sean Place

Sean is the Operations Manager for Interplay. In Brian’s terms, he’s the Assistant Chief Cat Herder (ACCH). While Sean doesn’t know how to reset your password (and would have forgotten his if it wasn’t for a password manager), he’s actively involved in making sure the needs of Interplay’s clients are always met.

Before joining Interplay, Sean spent a decade honing his managerial skills working for dozens of non-profit organizations on issues ranging from land preservation to financial education. During that time, he organized students, families and community members in Columbus, OH, Los Angeles, and everywhere in-between. Sean believes that all companies and organizations deserve strong IT, that’s why he’s excited to bring Interplay’s expertise to clients that do great things.

But, according to Sean, the greatest thing on this planet is his dachshund named Timmy. Be careful, because he’ll look for any excuse to squeeze his dog into a conversation or to share photos of ‘Tim’ dressed up as a dinosaur. He’s also an avid baseball fan, and an unnecessarily competitive board game enthusiast- he plays to WIN!

Aaron Huebner
Aaron Huebner

Service Engineer

Aaron Huebner

Aaron Huebner is a Service Engineer here at Interplay. He has built his IT career from the ground up. Starting in 2006 Aaron founded his own IT services company providing technology services to both homes and businesses. After 6 years he sold the company and took a position as a tier II support technician in a larger company, managing cloud and virtualization environments.

Originally from the East Coast just outside New York City, Aaron moved out West to join Interplay in their mission of delivering top notch service to the Seattle area. In his spare time Aaron loves to broadcast on Twitch.tv, an interactive social gaming platform. In doing so he is also studying the potential applications of self broadcasting as it expands into the business world.

Jordan Ross
Jordan Ross

Service Engineer

Jordan Ross

Jordan Ross is a Service Engineer here at Interplay. He’s advanced in the IT industry due to his genuine love and interest in IT, and his great service to clients. Jordan has held support and help desk positions, a Network Administration role and before joining Interplay he was an Infrastructure Manager. Jordan also tends to geek out on cloud computing and is really into the cloud movement and computer networking (for fun even…).

Jordan is originally from Nebraska and after following his family down to Florida, he grew tired of the sun and warm beaches, and moved to Seattle with his wife, a Northwest native. Jordan and his wife have a Doberman named Duke and they enjoy all the outdoor activities that the Northwest has to offer. They hike, camp and Jordan’s even starting to get into fly fishing.

PARTNERSHIPS AND ASSOCIATIONS

Hand in Hand with Names You Trust

The easiest way to tell what a company (or person) is like is to find out who they hang out with. Interplay is proud to have long-term relationships throughout the Seattle community, including the Better Business Bureau of Washington and the Downtown Seattle Association.

However, the tech world, more than anywhere else, is all about what you know, so you can’t simply rely on information about who your IT services provider hangs out with. That’s why you’ll also love the fact that Interplay partners with tech giants Cisco, Datto, HP, Microsoft, and more.
