IslandWood Network Rewiring

Over the weekend, we did a network rewiring of  IslandWood’s server room.  BDPNetworks Lead Engineer Jordan Ross and Service Engineer Brent Johnson worked for about 10 hours to banish a rats nest of wires that built up over the years.

They did a fantastic job doing the rewiring.  We posted the time-lapse video below!

Not only does it look better, but the network will now function better as well.  A rewiring minimizes the possibility of loops or extra cables causing slowdowns.  It also cuts down the time needed to move ports and troubleshoot problems.

IslandWood is extremely happy with the results and can proudly feature the pristine server room on tours of their amazing facilities.
